THE IMPORTANCE OF ELECTROLYTES

Every horseman can attest that horses can sweat significantly. Sweating is a major method of cooling and disspiating for the horse, and during rigorous work, or simply during hot weather, a horse can lose hydration, electrolytes, and minerals. Giving a horse electrolytes is of the utmost important, especially during the summer months, as horses may need help replenishing those valuable nutrients that are lost through sweating.
