Mounted shooting saddles are competition saddles created specifically for the sport of Cowboy Mounted Shooting. Some features will mimic the barrel saddle since the sports require running a course for time... though the Shooter saddle tends to have a double skirt and a horn that is lower in size and profile to keep it out of the way of guns being drawn or holstered.
